Well I was hoping somebody would figure it out, but it looks like this got lost in the more inflammatory comments (always does).

Metal Gear Sold: The Twin Snakes for the Nintendo Gamecube.


How did it do sales wise? Haven't seen any MGS games for nintendo since but I could be wrong.

According to this website it sold only 70,000 copies. However, I'd imagine by now it sold about 150k.

The game still ended up being ported to the PC later on.  I'm pretty sure those publishing rights only lasted for a certain amount of time.  Before Square merged with Enix they had a publishing deal with EA for a few years.

Forking over a crap load of money. We all know the game will sell in Japan but sony needs the NA sales and those hardcore ff7 fans in NA that don't have a ps3 will have a reason to get one.

To dispel myths about Sony owning the rights to FFVII. The PSN release of FFVII was published by Square Enix not Sony. (I know is says SCE on this website but it says SE on Wikipedia).
There was a PC version published by Eidos. Before Crisis wasn't even on a Playstation console.
The FFVII rights belong to Square Enix not Sony!
