Forums - Nintendo - A Wii Fit question!

Do any of you plan to lose some weight or develop some muscle with the help of Wii Fit?

In my opinion Wii Fit can be an excellent way to start doing some excercise and I believe Nintendo is taking very serious advices from health, training and nutrition experts. But I believe that it will have its limits in developing a cardiovascular training resistance and in muscle developing. But who knows? maybe if I ever get to its limits I would be more interested in getting myself into a gym and do some healthier workouts...

I'm not ready to materialize my life just yet, I'm still waiting for Virtual Reality.

yeah i'm wondering if wiifit will actually offer a workout or if for the most part it'll just be very light exercise. now wii boxing, that game packs a hell of a workout, both cardiovascular and a good core workout. my back and abs are soo sore the day after i play that game if i haven't played in a while.

end of '08 predictions: wii - 43 million,  360 - 25 million, ps3 - 20 million

Games I've beat recently: Super Mario Galaxy, Knights of the Old Republic, Shadow of the Collossus

Proud owner of wii, gamecube, xbox, ps2, dreamcast, n64, snes, genesis, 3DO, nes, atari, intellivision, unisonic tournament 2000, and gameboy

I'm going to get Wii Fit because, well, it sounds interesting but I really don't expect it to take the place of my gym visits.

As most health experts will tell you, the best way to lose weight is to eat a clean diet and to lift weights. Losing weight playing video games, if it sounds to good to be true well you know the rest. Its possible over weight people could drop 5 pounds because they dont do anything and then all of a sudden become active, yeah that will happen but dont expect to lose your gut playing video games.

I'm not planning to lose weight, I already thin. But I really believe Nintendo isn't making this game just because.

I believe some good training experts are helping this game become really good for burning some calories, and if you can burn 500 a day with this game easily then I'd say some people are gonna lose more than just 5 pounds playing it...
