I was going to do a poll, but I couldn't narrow my games down to six choices. Below is a list of a few of my PS2 RPGs that I have either never finished, never played, or had to start over on due to losing my memory card. I'm really indecisive, so hopefully you guys can help me out.

1. Dragon Quest VIII - Lost my memory card

2. Final Fantasy X - Unfinished

3. Grandia III - Lost my memory card

4. MS Saga: A New Dawn - Unfinished

5. Okage: Shadow King - Unfinished

6. Romancing Saga - Lost my memory card

7. Shining Force Neo - Lost my memory card

8. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time - Lost two different memory cards!

9. Suikoden IV - Unfinished

10. Tales of Legendia - Lost my memory card

11. The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age - Never Played

12. Valkyrie Profile 2 - Unfinished 

13. Wild Arms 3 - Unfinished 

14. Wild Arms 4 - Lost my memory card

15. Ys: The Ark of Napishtim - Unfinished

Edit: Thanks to everybody who gave their opinions and feedback. I've now narrowed my list to a more manageable number and I'll be playing these games in this order. I'll get around to the others over the Summer hopefully.

The most fun I've had with any PS2 RPG is FFX followed very closely by DQVIII. I LOVE turn-based combat! I'd probably recommend you play DQVIII. It's simple, yet very deep, beautiful, and, most importantly, very fun.

then Shining Force Neo (the beginning isn't that good, but later it's a really good game)

Well, in my opinion it should go like this:

First - Dragon Quest VIII
Then - Star Ocean: Till the end of time
Afterwards - Valkyrie Profile 2
Finally - Final Fantasy X

dragon quest and/or final x. But I would also recommend suikoden V which is not on your list but probably my most favorite RPG on PS2.

Final Fantasy X. I haven't even finished that game yet but I'm close to the very end of the game.

Save FFX for last, it eclipses anything else on this list.

Megaman X : Command Mission , great game and you can get it for 10 or 15 bucks.

I'm 30 hours in on Suikoden V, but I figuredc I should play IV first since that's the first game in the storyline. You're right it is a great game though.
