Forums - Sales Discussion - What will sales level out to after the holidays?

I am guessing:
Wii 331k
360 130k
PS3 129k

                                       That's Gordon Freeman in "Real-Life"

Around the Network

Wii: 250k
PS3: 200k
360: 150k

So, despite it hammering the 360 lately with a price cut and a redesign, it can't outsell the 360 on a regular week during the slump of the year? Bold statement to say the least.

Hard to say. Q1 is packed with quality and even a couple of system sellers ( 1st hd FF and 1 st hd GoW).

Wii 230k
360 135k
PS3 175k

Ynwa.

Amazes me how people ignore history.

1st qtr 2009 averages (Skip the 1st couple of weeks of January. Residual Holiday Sales)
Wii 350,302
360 176,536
PS3 158,409

2nd qtr 2009 averages
Wii 241,495
360 123,315
PS3 119,468

3rd qtr 2009 averages (through August)
Wii 220,398
360 111,095
PS3 104,694

Overall January 18-August 28 2009 averages
Wii 270,469
360 136,935
PS3 127,740

Clearly in non-holiday sales the Wii will drop considerably and continue the downward trend from last year. PS3 and 360 will swap places and both increase averages.

2010 Jan 17-August 28 averages
Wii 200K
PS3 165K
360 140K (revised)

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

The Wii and XBOX 360 will continue to fall until Natal/Vitality Sensor hit and the PS3 will continue to sell at a rate above 2009 levels until around September (can't be sure what'll happen then)

People predicting the Wii will have its best year are deluding themselves at this point, it won't. Metroid isn't a system seller, neither is Super Mario Galaxy 2 as it's a sequel. Also Zelda isn't coming this year. The Vitality Sensor is Nintendo's ace in the hole right now and I think it'll sell 10 million units and help the Wii continue to outsell the other platforms but really.. Nintendo have really dropped the ball with Wii and the lack of MotionPlus support for the holidays and the first half of this year is proof of that.

Wii: 210k
PS3: 140k
360: 120k

Wii: 275K

PS3: 175K

360: 155K

It'll be like this until Sept when Halo: Reach and Natal is released. After that the XBox 360 will outsell the PS3 for the rest of 2010, especially if M$ does a price cut and releases a XBox 360 Slim of their own.
