Star Fox games came out in 1993, 1997, 2002, 2005, and 2006. Longest gap was 5 years, when they tried something crazy different (Star Fox Adventures). We'll see one in 2011 at the latest. Maybe they're trying something crazy different, like motion controls.

Besides, Brawl had 3 characters from Star Fox in it. Nintendo loves the series. The last 3 Nintendo consoles each got one Mario, at least one Zelda, and at least one Star Fox. It's the Nintendo way. We all just have to believe in it hard enough to make sure it happens.

Not to be argumentative, but Brawl also had 2 characters from Mother, which Nintendo persistently refuses to either localize the third installment beyond Japan, or put any of the series on Virtual Console anywhere.

Hey did you read my last sentence?  You're not helping!

Ok, I guess this is the thread where I admit I love furries. Not screwing them, but just masturbating while I watch them fondle.

A new Starfox? On Wii, I don't see it happening. Next console, who knows, too early to tell. If Nintendo thinks it can be profitable, then yes.

k. Thanks for the info!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Nintendo may love the series but not enough to make another huge game from the franchise on the Wii. Nintendo loves donkey kong but they don't give him enough love to make a marketable donkey kong game for the wii.

I don't know about you guys, but I hope Nintendo's next console is somewhat like the Nintendo 64.

I just want to know if there is going to be a new Star Fox game?

I don't......I hope it will be BETTER than the Nintendo 64, but Starfox maybe a while off seeing is how S&P2 just released IMO.

Gaming make me feel GOOD!

Just you wait. They'd announce it suddenly and release w/i 6 months from announcement.

For a statement like this, i must draw upon the memorable quotations of Red, from Pokemon Gold and Silver

If Zelda does come in 2010, SF will drop in 2011.

what makes you think so? people are still holding out that Kid Icarus features in Nintendo's plans sooner rather than later.. would be an awesome line-up. zelda - K.I - starfox. mmm :)

aah, a christmas '10 release of zelda wii... i cant wait already. man, i predict that i will be failing 3rd year of my degree if it comes out next christmas

I figure Nintendo already used most of their other IPs. Star Fox is one of the few left....

There are lots of wonderful IPs left beyond Star Fox, like Wave Race, Pilot Wings, Donkey Kong Country, Kid Icarus, Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, etc. I somehow miss the Big N from the late SNES and N64 era. They even took their chances with games as Blast Corps, which I looked at quite reluctant but ended up to be one of my favourites that generation. Rare, which was particially owned by Nintendo manage to make great games, some of them already mentioned by me and others as Killer Instinct, Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie...

Microsoft did a good thing buying the company back in 2002 (though they never achieved to do the same quality games for MS partially to some changes in the staff), and tried to disarm Sony's alliance with Square Enix and other companies later, due to the same strategy.

Nevertheless, I think that Nintendo should still heavily bet for second parties like back on those days. I know that many of us would appriciate it.
