...You're not alone!

I myself am fucking tired of slogging through boring shit due to "story" reasons. I say the same about all games, if I had this stuff on an emulator I'd fast forward thru the slow sections. I play these games for the action!

It's why Uncharted 2, while still amazing, isn't my favorite game of the year. I can't skip the in-game cutscenes, many of the platform sections are boring, and many events in the game (see the train intro) serve no purpose other than to slow you down. I want to play a fun game, not watch a movie!

I can't say too much about Assassin's Creed 2, because to be honest, I couldn't play more than 1-2 hours of it. That intro killed it for me (I don't want to get to know the assassin, I preferred jumping right in as Altair). I watched my bro play through the game, though, and there was way too many... well, puzzle elements. I'd agree the boss battle was disappointing, it wasn't much of a fight. I blame the focus on story... I've been playing Gears 2, and it has the same problem.

I must admit that the start sucked in AC II, it was awful, but do you just like shooting stuff with no sort of reason for doing so? Do not want to be drawn into the game world and have any sort of investement in the characters? You seem to be looking for just mindless shooting, so in that case, why aren't you just playing CoD MW 2 online?

How do you like AC1 and not the 2nd? It's better in every single way, and I was a big fan of the first.

After finishing AC 1,I wanted AC 2 so much...

After finishing AC 2,I wanted my money back. It`s not the graphics,it`s the story and dialog.

Very, very boring. The gameplay is good, graphics too. But the story makes the game great.

Although I disagree and know ACII is better than AC, I personally like the original better.

I think Assassin's Creed is slowly becoming my all-time favorite game.

AC is a great francise, plenty of things to improve, has a unique feel to it.

But AC 2 was a let down.

... how was it a let down when it had everything the original had and more? Care to explain?

Sure. I don`t have memorable moments in my mind when I think of AC 2.

When I think of AC 1...Well,I remember a lot of scenes (brutal, memorable, you name it).

Sure,I was repetitive, but the "next guy you have to kill" drives you forward.

AC 2 does not have the story and dialog the original had. So it was a let down.

As long as it remains fun, yes. I've played CoD online, though it does have its problems. Obviously I do enjoy shooters online, when done well (put tons of hours into CS years back).

I just don't like when cutscenes and such get in the way of playing the game. That doesn't mean I don't want great characters or getting drawn into the game world. Games like Shadow of the Colossus, or older games (e.g. Legend of Zelda) are probably the more extreme examples of what I'm looking for.

Hrm, I'd go more into detail, but it'd be off topic, so maybe for another time...

No way. Assassins Creed 2 is a much better game than Assassins Creed in every way. The main character, Ezio is much better than Altair. More variety of things to do in the missions. Lots of hidden items to be found in Assassins Creed 2. Assassins Creed 2 setting in Italy was a much better setting than the Middle East.
Assassins Creed 2 was definitely one of the best games of the year alongside Uncharted 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum.

ACII was way better than ACI

I felt like you, but then I got past the shit filled opening levels of ACII. Seriously, the beginning is just slow and after that you'll find alot to like.
