Forums - Sony Discussion - What is your antecipation for PSP2 and PS4?

Well, i hope PSP2 is released as soon as possible. But for PS4 i hope it's released just in 2013 or later.

I would like PSP2 to be a anti-piracy system just like PS3, and uses neither memory cards (Memory Stick) for games or be DD only.  Optical midia for handelhelds just aren't a good idea. A Oled screen, hardware powerful enough to handle 720P games, nice speakers and battery to hold for more time.

For PS4 i really don't know what i want, the only thing i know now is that it should both motion controls and classics controls and have 1080P native as standard for all games.

No, nothing, im still greatly enjoying both my PSP and my PS3 among other current gen systems, and 2013 is being kind, i prefer 2014 to 2015 to be honest.

In conclusion... Not so Much...

60fps as standard for HD gaming
30fps as standard for 3D gaming

I think PSP2 will be called PSSlyde or PSTouch
something more original then PSP2.

I don't care about piracy, as I would most likely want free games but I would still want the games to have pretty good sales. And it has to be a HANDHELD not a huge portable device.

PS4 will be released in 2012....according to various reports and rumors anyway

no...not at all
i probs wont buy a PSP2 anyway after the lack of support for the PSP

I just hope we won't see another PSP and the next Playstation console for a long long time. If they must release a new one, than I rather see a PSP2 with a much longer batterie, oled screen, touch screen and with dual sticks. I really don't need a graphical powerhouse, just make the system more towards social (friends chat via voice and text and so) and, of course, supporting the PSP2 with a lot of games made for it and not just some ports or games already done on consoles.

I hope it all goes back to purely gaming instead of this entertainment "it only does everything" tosh.

This is now looking very likely as by 2015 or whatever TVs that can do all the entertainment (web, facebook, netflix, etc.,) stuff the HD consoles now do will be mainstream...maybe apart from playing BR without an additional box.

I have a PSP but am not really a fan so I am not bothered about what they do with that.

Would rather PSP2 was still one or two years away. There are still plenty of PS1 games that could be released on the PSP1. SONY still doesn't have the online infrastructure, much less most people have bandwidth capable of several gigs per game, to be putting out a handheld unit capable of PS2 games.

I am afraid of what will happen to the PSP2...

either things can go really bad, or who knows.

As for the PS4, 2014 and futuristic.
