I no this is a dumb question, and im prretty sure that u guys dont but do you have any estimates on how much games have sold used? cause like. when metal gear solid 4 came out within 3 days there were 100+ used copies at my blockbuster alone.. now theres 4... so like, used games torched its sales i believe. 

anyways, do you have any way to track used game sales cause id love to no just how many people REALLY have bought games (i bought one of those 150 used mgs4 copies :P  )

I know of no one who tracks used game sales.

But one way to check on things is the price difference between the original new price and the common used price (e.g., Gamestop). Or you can see how many places have the game in stock and how many copies are available. Admittedly, this will tell you how many games are in the market -- but higher prices and lower stock may also mean higher demand.

Ironically, vgchartz DOES track games traded between friends.

why not used game sales make up 50% of the non-downloadbale market. 

im guessing mgs would be at like 6 million if they all just bought new copies.
