Me and my flat mate have always had to share the same 360 and its become really annoying , for Christmas i got a X360 arcade . Ive set it all up in a different room and put the wireless network adapter on the back of the 360 ( The light on it is red , i dont know if that means anything ). I went to configure network and found my router and then put in my WPA password (it says ''connected'' next to the router and has a decent connection) . I thought that would be all sorted but when i go to test the connection it doesnt conect to my router . Ive tried turning the router off and back on again but it doesnt work , so can someone please help and give me some advice on what to do as my friend just got modern warfare 2 for christmas and bught trials hd and because its his xbox Ill never get to play borderland ( which i got for xmas)

unplug power to modem and router. connect all three devices together. plug in modem, plug in router, turn on console once both are connected to the internetz.

What do you mean by it doesn't connect to my router? There's a 3-stage connection when your test the xbox live connection: Network - Internet - Xbox Live. Where does it fail? Does the Xbox get an IP address from your router? Do you have other wireless devices working with that router, like a laptop?

if the xbox can't get an ip from your router use the mac adresse of your pc in the network configuration this will trick your router into thinking it's your pc trying to connect online when you use xboxlive

um maybe is your flatmate also online on his 360? might be to must straign for your internet? not 100% sure mate sorry, sure some 360 guys can help though!
