My brother in-law got me a PS3 for Christmas just so he could finally play games with me online, heh.

So, I tried to get my Bluetooth headset that I already have working last night, and it wasn't working.  I could register the headset successfully but nothing was coming over it.  Nor did Modern Warfare 2 show that I had a headset connected.

And right up front, I have not had the opportunity to look at the PS3 instruction manual or find my bluetooth headset manual  8).  I got the PS3 last night, got home, put the kids to bed, hooked up the PS3, and got online to play with my brother in-law until 2am, and then 3 hours later got up to go to work.  Where I am now.  I will certainly be reading directions when I get home, but I just wanted to check if anyone knew what was going on before then.  Is there anything else I need to do to get the headset working with the PS3?

uhm i believe if u connect the dock/charger to it, then connect the headset directly after that it should work.

I used to play with my mobile's headset but the official PS3 headset is the best. It never fials you and lasts ages.

Thanks guys. I 'might' have found the problem. I'll need to verify that my 'Audio Device Settings' have the headset set as the audio input/output device.

go to accessory options and make sure you put in "wireless headset" as the input method for voice. I bought a new headset thinking mine was broken; turns out I just needed to do what I just mentioned.

Yeah, that must be it.
