Forums - Microsoft - The Orange Box = A box full of fun...

Haha wow that was a quick change of heart KN. I agree that hover boat scene was pretty boring but it was probably the only low point in the game for me.

Everything else was really good, also Ive heard only good things about the expansions but I havent played em yet.

PS360 ftw!

Currently playing..........

Gears of War 2, GTA IV Lost and Damned, Little Big Planet (Yes I said I had no interest but my girl wanted to try it and we did and now Im hooked )

Er, no offense, but "surviving" in Bioshock was about as hard as convincing an infant to wet itself.

HL2 is, what? 5 years old? It's a bit dated by today's standards, but the story stomps the crap out of Halo's and, in case you didn't notice, Halo stole a whole pile of story elements right out of it. :P

And if you trade Orange Box in without trying TF2, you automatically go to hell. I swear, there was an official press release from the Vatican regarding this exact issue.

I don't do online multiplayer.  TF2 does look cool and I love the art style, but I'm not into that sort of gameplay.  Call me wierd.  I'm also not into guitar hero.  I've tried twice to get into it.  It isn't growing on me.  And oh yeah, I really liked red steel on the Wii.  Given this information you should probably ignore my opinions as they apparently don't follow mainstream, lol.   The reality is that I'm very, very hard to please when it comes to games.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

Heh, fair enough.

I liked Red Steel as well, but I'm guessing the newness factor of the Wii probably helped it.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Don't give up. I was bored with the airboat too. Then I was told not to go to Ravenholm. I am there and it has gotten to be a whole lot more fun.

Sorry, you just lose points in my book. HL2 beats any Mario game in my opinion, but I understand it can't be for everyone. But man, I love these games, and TF2 is just awesome.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I'm confused that HL2 is a survival horror game now.

Also, I entirely agree the boat sucks, All I did during that phase was try to jump as high as I could then wonder why they added an hour of mostly boring driving.

See Ya George.

"He did not die - He passed Away"

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.

HL2 is not a survival horror game, and neither is BioShock. RE4 isn't even a survival horror game.

Anyway, the Orange Box is an amazing deal. HL2, EP1 and EP2 are all amazing and IMO HL2 is the best FPS game ever made.

Portal is a very clever and funny game, and TF2 is the best online multiplayer game I've ever played.

AMAZING deal. To think someone would buy any other 360 game over it is mindboggling. HL2 by itself is better then every other 360 game out there.

Keep in mind I don't own it...but my very close cousin does. (on the PC, it's better on the PC)

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

I got the "Little Rocket Man" achievement today. Carrying that gnome all the way there was never harder than when you're being chased by the chopper in the car.

It should have been worth more than 30g...

Personally, i didnt like it

I just rented it, the story is great looking, but..... the art style and everything is not my cup of tea.
Was expecting more, tried fortress, and just felt so much inferior to the rest of the great online.

Maybe the game just isnt for me

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Proud supporter of all 3 console companys

Proud owner of 360wii and DS/psp

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

What about TF2 felt inferior to you? As far as I'm concerned, TF2 is the real thing, and everything else falls short.
