Multiplayer really does make the game what it is imo. I'm glad that the characters interact rather than being able to walk through eachother. It does make certain parts harder but it adds an element of randomness that has never really been in a 2D mario game.

as in 4 players co op online. 4 players level creation online.

......I said "local multiplayer"

Nothing having to do with online

Nothing having to do with UGC

I said nobody (except maybe Bungie) does local multiplayer [as well as] Nintendo does.

but, those games have local multiplayer too O.o.

...My point was that the features you mentioned ("4 players co op online. 4 players level creation online") have nothing to do with local multiplayer, and I've never found them (the games you mention) to be as fun as NSMBWii in local multiplayer.

the freezing is sometimes anoying, playing coperativly is sometimes boring, if you play with someone incompetent it is a nightmare, the auto-scrolling leves are horrible, people also screw up with you, now take all the bad things I said, put them in a box and forget them, in coin battle and free four all if you get screwed up or killed you'll probably won't notice because you will be laughing really hard, it's such a fun competitive multiplayer you'll be playing forever, the best multiplayer ever, for the bare time I played with my friends I was lol all the time, the best multiplayer ever (and the single player is solid too)

Ummm... you do see who you are talking too??? ....

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I have yet to play this game alone.
Played with 2 of my classmates, couple of time with two players (since only 1 came over to my place) and then 3 player the last time.

I agree with Khuutra. I haven't had this much fun playing local multiplayer since SSBB.

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

As long as you don't take the game seriously when you have 4 people, NSMB multiplayer is a ton of fun. However, it makes the game way too hard to actually beat the thing with people not dieing left and right, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to play 4-player on 9-7

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

If you want to play the game as serious as possible, two-player option is the real choice. If you can coordinate well with a partner it can be one of the best gaming experience ever. Adding a third or a fourth player decreases the chances of succeeding the game significantly. But god, it is so much fun. We're always crying when we're 4 people playing New Super Mario Brothers ;).

Who in their right mind'd take an iPhone over Wii games?!

^^^ me, unless it's zelda wii...
