It's not unfair at all.  You die, lose experience and souls, start over from beginning of level.  But trust me, you won't die in that same spot very often because you will learn quickly to adapt to the environment and learning from mistakes will be you're number 1 priority.

Besides, you can gain back the souls easily.

From what you described on what you like it seems maybe Dragon age might be your best choice due to what you like with character interaction, However In my opinion Demon Souls is a far superior game. I just didn't like the battle mechanics in Dragon age just not really my thing I guess. I wish I could have tried the PC version I heard it was much better.

you want both..

you will get both eventually, that's a given.

so the main deciding factor right now is... price, right?

then isn't it clear which one you're going for? get Dragon Age now, and hopefully by the time you're done having fun with that and AC2, Demon Souls will be cheaper

Ok, so I ended up buying AC2 and Dragon Age all for a subtotal of $70...it should have come to 80, but I got my employee discount at Best Buy :D

Haven't opened Dragon Age yet, playing AC2...I'll be buying DS very soon too, probably in January.

Good choices and $70 for both both games combined is a pretty damn good price! I paid $60 for my DA:O Collector's Edition(PC) by itself from Amazon. Enjoy!

Another one would be once they release it in Europe it'll be a platinum hit.

 

And maybe that would convince me for sure to buy it. I, like stewroids, am pondering about demon souls but do not want to waste the money and be dissapointed with it like I am with COD MW2.

Judging by what you like, you should definitely get Dragon Age. Especially since it's cheaper and you're going to get them both anyway.

Oh and if anyone can tell me how the replay value on Demon's Souls is, I would appreciate it...how long does it take for the average gamer to beat the game? And is there plenty to keep you coming back?
