On topic: This is some serious price gouging. USD and CAD have had parity for quite sometime this whole year. How much are Wii games normally in CAD?

Games are so cheap over there. This game is at $100 over here in australia. We are getting screwed badly.

$59.99 for most Wii games and $69.99 for PS360 games.

Good for them. Nothing wrong with a bit of profiteering. The demand is there, and the price is their prerogative.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

games are worth $100 in my country....

Yes, we are quick to raise prices when our dollars drop but lowering price when our dollars go up is close to non-existent.

That's why I don't buy Wii games day one. They're the same price as new PS3 games.

The 'aboot' stereotype is bullshit, only newfies talk like that.

'Eh' is totally real. Although not quite everybody talks like that, it's pretty common and broadly distributed.

On Gamestop/EB, this is less heinous than back this November when they were trying to exploit the latest CoD launch to sell used Call of Duty 3 games for $50.

Supply and Demand. If demand outstrips supply, and they can get away with upping the price by only $5, OH NOZ, and people still buy it, then it's the people buying it that should be slapped silly. I'm sure there are other retailers that have it at 59.99 still, so it's simply a matter of do you want it now? Or can you wait a few days/weeks?
