Forums - Sales Discussion - Is It Time To Start Believing in Sony ?

I never really stopped believing in Sony. They sure as hell tried their hardest to get me to do so, but in the end I couldnt bring myself to believe they would not fix their problems.

With all their ridiculousness in the times leading up to and early days of the PS3, they sure have turned themselves back into a company worth our hard earned $$'s.

Well, if we all think/believe the same things, these forums would become mostly useless.

Op people on here know nothing, they are wrong time and time again.

I was always right ahahahhahahahahahah.

you are always wrong!

gameplay >>>>>>> graphics

@OP. i expected this kind of stuff would happen from the start. but i really really didn't expect sony to have that much first party games even with them being tight in developement and such.

i don't find anything else a milestone but THAT is something really impressive in my opinion.

To be honest I don't really care how much the PS3 sells, I still don't really want one. Sony has yet to prove to me that it has enough notable games to buy a PS3 for, that aren't already on 360. Maybe when it's $200 I will finally get one.

sorry to say bu that is the most stupid commend/post i have read in a long time.... you mean  after 2 years of ps3 totaly owning x360 and wii in AAA games   you stil think ps3 does not have any cool games?

I find it funny that Crazzyman, the most ridiculed member in here, has been more precise in his predictions than the most worshiped member (you all know who). I'll readily admit that I never believed the PS3 could move a million units in one week or beat the 360 in NA on Black Friday but I'm glad to be proven wrong in this instance.

On topic; for once it seems my hardware predictions are going to be pretty damn good! Except overshooting Wii, DS and PSP a fair bit, still beats the past ones...

Why would you believe in a corporation? or a product?

You pay for the videogame goods, and you expect quality gaming in return. If it is a quality product and it is priced right, it will sell. Thats where it should end.

Believe in santa kids...its healthier.

Actually buying a console is an investment. When you bought your WiiX360 you believed those consoles would have enough games for you in the future that it was worth the upfront cost. Sometimes that investment ends in failure, sometimes success. Seems like finally the doubts many had that the PS3 could be a worthwhile investment are starting to fade.

The price of a console is only half the issue, the games on the console are the other half.

I don't remember exactly, but it was far fetched, especially back then. He's still quite a bit off in most of it, or even a whole lot off but remains closer to reality than Vgchartz own Malstrom. And that should be a wake up call to most of us (yes, I snickered at Crazzyman myself quite a few times but now the joke's on me). However, I'd also like to point out that I've always maintained that the other guy was waaaaay off in his lofty predictions (60 million Wii's by end of 2008, lifetime sales of 250-500 million etc.) as well.

I do not count Wii myself, I really think that it primarily serves a different market. Sure there is some cross-over.

The future of this gen will be strongly in favor of Sony, is my prediction. X360's best days are now behind it, most of its best exclusives are behind it, Sony exclusives are finally starting to come in respectable numbers and quality.

Starting in 2009 Sony took the lead, not in terms of overall sales but in stable of quality games and finally crossed the chasm to catch up or even surpass MS in some notable genres. 2010 has Mass Effect 2 in MS Stable, vs... metric asston for Sony. ME2 will be something of a big deal, but the year overall will belong to the PS3.
