the best thing for gaming will be interactive holographics, but this is decades away, 3D are just gimmick attempts at trying to give the illusion that your there in the place, but it fails....
They should stick to graphics until such time the graphics can simulate reality at that stage 3D will work....but you know what, I see nothing wrong with playing with a standard dualshock3 10 years from now with perhaps a slight improvement here and there to ergonomics....because some time the design is so good that it just works flawlessly through time, just look at cars, they've had 4 wheels for decades, if it works it works and there's some times no need to change things, simple as that really.
3d is coming definetly and Motion tracking too. I wonder if 3d will make a significant impact this gen.
I see it dominating next gen though.
with Gem underway knowing CAPCOM they will start to port over a number of their rail gun games to the PS3 e.g Umbrella chronicles and dark chronicles and some others.
However i wont be surprise if those games also come to Natal
3D gaming if it's done right and not done like when 3D movies first came out. And as long as the glasses aren't too expensive or too naff looking.

Project Natal. I don't trust in 3D gaming, at least in the next 5 years.

With gem being reasonable close to what the wiimote does right now, I can see a good deal of ports over to the PS3 (and hell maybe vice versa? on some psn releases?) Would be a good deal easier to do this conversion than going to Natal from the WiiMote or Gem.
Im still thinking Natal is all going to come down to support by Microsoft. 3rd party support is great and welcome, but if MS does not give everyone a reason to own one, Im not sure how many will. Natal seems to have the biggest whatif to it of these new techs (cept wtf is the virtual sensor exactly?). It is either going to dominate everything or it will flop, I dont really see it sitting in the middle.
