I think this is a good thread. It sucessfuly points out how relative a gaming experience is and reminds us of the fact that reviewers acclaim doesn't necesarily mean what it is supposed to mean.

I think someone should start a thread asking for the best game of the decade in each category, with at least 8 nominees each.

Lol, that was funny.  I agree though, the series was really good, it was some of the best gaming I experienced when the first one came out, the second and even the 3rd.  After that, it got old and far less enjoyable, just never seemed to capture the same charm the first couple brought.  Kinda like guitar hero.

And I never played downhill, so i dont know how much crap that game brings, if any at all : )

So the Xbox is getting the 3rd best game of the generation next year :)

I had no idea MGS2 was rated that high.
