647,000 viewers, 0.5 household rating, and a 0.3 Adults 18-49 rating.

I dont know what the numbers were last year and I dont know if these numbers are good for them, but to me they seem very low (especially total viewers).  However as a point of comparison, the midseason finale of Sanctuary the night before (12/18) on Syfy drew a 0.4 A18-49 rating. So the award show did pretty well in that key demographic, it seems, even if total viewership was low.

They made it seem like it was much higher than that, that's a bit surprising.

Good for the viewers. I hope they change a lot next year. Honestly, after Jack Black went to sit back down, I turned it to family guy. It was very immature for my tastes and I have more fun reading all of the winners off of ign then watching the VGAs.
