You know who gets the Japanese market? Japanese people. Let them handle it.

Probably because the Japanese are making games for Western markets so Western developers feel the need to develop for Japanese markets as thanks.  That's just my theory though.

I guess both could be considered western made JRPG's. Although Venetica appears to be more of a cross between an RGP and a Zelda style adventure.

those games are as much JRPG as fable.

I am a Hardcore JRPG junkie and I would NEVER give those anything but a glimpse.... so I KNO for 4 damn sure the Japanese wouldn't

Sudeki might be a sort-a JRPG, but venetica definetly isn't.

i would really love to see anyone, any country, region, state whatever, to TRY and make a JRPG styled game, that would be very amusing, because it would be a western hybrid rather then an eastern one, since South Korea had done alot of that besides the japanese.

With PoP and ACII, i think Ubisoft could make a decent JRPG-like game if they tried.

However, if EA did it or godforbid Rockstar or someone along those lines, it would be horrible.

To be honest, Studio Liver Pool from the Sony team could really make a neat Sci-Fi JRPG with ease IMO.
