So the GT5 time trial challenge has been up on PSN for a while now and everybody who want to has probably tried it by now.

Opinions appear to be mixed across the board with some even argueing if it is even a demo (but that topic is for another thread).

However many of the views being expressed seem to come from people with fixed positions ie "Its GT so its fantastic" or "Its GT and just the same as always with better GFX).  Im more interested in how your views on one of the biggest games this gen has chaged overtime.  Feel free to expand the timeframe and include how GT5P changed your opinion aswell.

My thoughts: Even the Academy Demo is awesome, its already pre-ordered, and the first GT i'll get ever.

Yeah it was alright apart from me Losing control of the car nearly every SMALL turn ! lol
I pretty much OWNED GT5P but i SUCKED HARD at GT Academy haha.

I was wondering will GT5 have customization like Forza 3?

u can customize all the parts and stuff... but i dont think u can paint them the same way as forza... not that i care, i suck at painting the cars lol

O.T first GT i've ever bought, i love prologue and i love this demo (even though its academy) GT5 will be amazing.

dam i thought it was a film of GT acadamy. Program on itv last year!

Played the demo for over an hour, just wan't up to GT standards IMO.

My thoughts turned negative towards it. The controls were way to sensitive.

This really shouldn't be viewed as a traditional demo. The tuning and setup is geared towards realistic because this is really being used for a competition and to clearly differentiation drivers who can perform like a racing driver vs casual driving.

Most of us are going to suck at it, to be blunt. To improve is going to take serious dedication - to get anywhere near the top is going to take a wheel and both some serious skill and insane dedication to driving that course many, many, many times.

they should make it harder to get the demo. some people come accross it thinking it is a real gt5 demo

first off - i really don't care much for racing games and least of all racing sims.

however, after playing the time trial challenge for a few laps i started to get the hang of it and decided it wasn't quite as bad as i was expecting. i can really appreciate how other people would love this kind of game especially if you were a car person (which i'm not).

in the event that there are no other games of interest at the time of release i will certainly consider it but more then likely i won't get it.
