This really shouldn't be viewed as a traditional demo. The tuning and setup is geared towards realistic because this is really being used for a competition and to clearly differentiation drivers who can perform like a racing driver vs casual driving.
Most of us are going to suck at it, to be blunt. To improve is going to take serious dedication - to get anywhere near the top is going to take a wheel and both some serious skill and insane dedication to driving that course many, many, many times.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
