Forums - Sony - Will final fantasy XIII versus become multiplat?

First of all, we need release year for FFXIII Versus.

FFXIII in Japan was released during December 2009.
FFXIV in Japan will be released in late 2010.

FFXIII in West will be released in March 2009.
FFXIV in West will be released in late 2010.

FFXIII Versus in Japan might be released in Summer 2010 or Spring 2011.

In early 2010 we are going to get new info about FFXIII Versus. This could mean 2010 release date.

If release date is 2010, then i can`t see FFXIII Versus going multiplatform. Worst case is timed exclusive for PS3. But as long FFXIII Versus is developed as exclusive, it doesn`t matter, if it will get ported later.

Nomura is the director of Versus XIII.

He didn't want FFXIII on 360 and has said it will work with just one platform with Versus XIII.

So... Versus XIII is PS3 eclusive.

Platinum games worked with only one platform for Bayonetta.

4 ≈ One

To be honest i wont be suprised if it Comes out on the 360 (no one expected FF XIII to go there) and it definately wont be some sort of a gimped port. SE know that releasing it on Microsoft consoles will make them much more then keeping it exclusive.

Well, like Bioware, Valve, Rockstar (GTA IV expansions), Mistwalker. They all know that turning their X360 exclusives multiplat they will make much more, right?   Wake up. PS3 is not "doomed" anymore. PS3 is even with X360. And now is outselling it worldwide since slim launch.

NO, Sony have thier cock in the mangle on this one

I just hope for a WW release. I find so boring having to wait to play a game that is already there because i can't understand the language. And isn't just a question of learning japanese, many things that in japanese culture make sense for us just don't, and this kind of get adapted in localizations.

If it did go multiplat, my inner fanboy would be so Effing pissed! I hope it doesnt, both for fanboy bragging rights and eye candy. Games built and fine-tuned specifically for PS3 are so beutiful, and with what square did on the ps1 and ps2, seeing them max out the PS3 would be pure awesome. The ps3 has lost lots of exclusive games in the past, give us Sony fanboys a break, Xbox is so damn greedy lol. But seriously, I hope it doesnt cause I want to see square max out the PS3. I know thats selfish but hey, atleast Im being honest.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Improbable

Well, I want to keep my exclusive. LOL! so my answer is no!!!!! but I won't be surprised if it happens.

Square-Enix was like "we really mean it this time" with the PS fanboys and since PS fanboys have a very strong sense of entitlement (the Nintendo fanboy rage over FF defecting to Playstation wasn't anywhere near as loud as the FFXIII, Devil May Cry 4, Tekken 6, etc. multi-plat annoucements), I think Square-Enix may just give in to their demands this time. Or Wada could just defiantly tell the fanbase to take it just like he's done all the way up until now. You never know.

It would be absolutely hilarious if Wada played maverick again and ported Versus to 360. The PS fanboys crying over games going multi-plat. I've never seen such fanboy rage in my life in the realm of video games (Sports team fanboys are absolutely ridiculous but that's another topic). Nintendo fanboys had to put up with waaaay more shit over the years and I've never seen Nintendo fanboys rage like that. Never. Sega fans too had to put up with a lot after getting screwed one generation after another by Sega.
