The categories are not as clearcut as you'd like to think they are. Why on earth isn't gameplay going to be lower when there's slowdown in a game where slowdown really hurts it? Yes, it does affect how enjoyable the gameplay is and whether it works as well as it should. Also, the appeal doesn't have to be identical, as the reviewer thinks the technical issues in the game renders himself less likely to play it longer on the PS3 due to technical issues than he does on the 360. If you actually read his explanations of the scores, you will see that a lot of them cross over. But hey, if you wanna just write the review off as worthless without taking the time to read it, openly accusing the reviewer (who I will again state is on the PS3 team) of doing it just for website hits, when you haven't played both versions all the way through or have any substantial proof in your accusation other than "this score should be the same!"...hey, more power to you.

I think the PS3 version has been judged too harshly.

It's ultimately still the same, phenomenal slash-em-up, so I don't think things like load times should bring AAA content down to an 8.2 score.

A score of 8.8 would be much fairer.

Ignorance is bliss, huh KylieDog? If you want clear cut review scores...form your own game review website. As for IGN, they carry over different aspects into a game into a number of review sections. As themanwithnoname CLEARLY stated...(see above bold & underlined text). To comepletely IGNORE this way of reviews from IGN, and just what makes sense means that you are not to use IGN as a source to accept reiew scores, and should look elsewhere. Once again...SLOWDOWN...FRAME RATE PROBLEMS...LONG LOADING & FREQUENT LOADING...will affect a game's Presentation, Graphics, Lasting Appeal (who wants to play a game that's supposed to be played over and over again with all these problems in comparison to the Xbox 360? Thus the .5 off), and ESPECIALLY Gameplay (just imagine it's like playing street fighter 4/soul calibur 4 online with lag, and tell me your enjoying the gameplay....yeaaaa...thought so...that's slow down..and that affects Gameplay. Thus the .5 off again.)

The various sub-scores are related though.

If you have that presentation that constantly stops you from playing to load, that doesn't affect the actual gameplay, but it does slow you down and completely break the pacing. 

Those two are connected.  The presentation is actually so bad (4.5!) that it's pretty understandable that it can affect so many other things, even lasting appeal!  It makes you want to play the game less.

If the presentation were something 8+ and the score differences were that different between the sub-scores I think you would have a point, but 4.5 is a *terrible* score and it's pretty understandable that it affects everything else.

but this thread is hilarious, full of people jumping on the opportunity to hate on the ps3 haha! can't remember which idiot mentioned "teh ps3 weakness" being exposed then totally owns himself by agreeing that he game could have been better. if it could have been made better than its not a ps3 weakness but developer's shot comings. that's what you get for letting another company port a game for you.

then there's the idiot saying that "developer's laziness" no longer holds water as a reason for crapy port but because of the cell not being good for games. another dumbass. if the cell wasn't good for games then why pray tell is uncharted and uncharted 2 freakin beautiful?

then we have our sour grape ps3 owners going, oh well, didn't really like it any ways, or oh enjoy the game x360 owers i'll jut get GOW3, or i wanted dante's inferno anyway hahaha! funny how you let other's opinion or how you let a review affect you feelings towards a game.

if you wan't the game buy it, screw the reviews i say. look at gt4, got 10s left and right and was praised as if it was the second coming. but when i played it, for craps sake, nilo..was it nilo? cant remember, anyway, the russian guy handled like a log! plus the driving was in no way fun! why it scored 10s i don't know, must be the all might hype train

I love Bayonetta (360). Deserves the 40/40 from Famitsu.

I'm the "idiot" who mentioned ONE of the PS3's weaknesses and I didn't own myself because I agreed that ANY game can become better with no deadline and an endless cashflow. I remember that when I called someone a derogatory name I got warned. I noticed there was no warning for you calling others idiots...oh well.

I have been coming to this site since it started and I've rarely posted and since in the past year this site has become N4G w/sales, I usually just read the sales and leave. Most threads are Sony biased and uninformative. Most xbox fans have left long ago because they're outnumbered by the Sony loyal nitwits. That's why 360 game views and threads are at a minimum.

I expect this comment to get toasted by the multitude of delusional sony clans here. Fine by me....ignorance is bliss for most here.
