I just had a major WTF moment when reading Time's top 10 games list.  It goes, in order from best to worst, a little something like this:

1.  Modern Warfare 2

2.  Batman: Arkham Asylum

3.  DJ Hero

4.  Borderlands

5.  New Super Mario Bros. Wii

6.  Geo-Defense Swarm

7.  Scribblenauts

8.  Halo 3: ODST

9.  Assassin's Creed II

10.  Uncharted 2

My first question is, what the holy hell is Geo-Defense Swarm and why is it listed above Uncharted 2 or Assassin's Creed II?  Let's put aside for a second that Uncharted 2 is probably in the top 3 best games I have ever played.  Whoever made this list is a moron.  I'm playing Modern Warfare 2 just as much as the next guy, but best game of the year?  And DJ Hero beats Borderlands?  For realsies?

Reading articles about gaming on CNN.com or any other non gaming publication just makes me cringe.  Ugh.

Ya I try to avoid the public news that aren't specified for gaming. When Fox news hated on Mass Effect and Modern warfare 2, I cried a little bit inside...

Uncharted 2- Game of the Year is at number 10. DJ Hero is at number 3? Booo at Modern Warfare 2 being number one. IMO either: Assassins Creed 2 or Uncharted 2 deserves to be number one= game of the year.
Killzone 2 and Street Fighter IV both should of made the top 10.
Time Magazine are entitled to have their opinion. Agree to disagree.
