I may need to scrap Magma Mango or alter it so that it changes Yoshi's colour to red.

Ask Ninten78. I sent him a message and he didn't answer me yet.

NO!
Well... Nintendo always comes with the best ideas. They have the trick to name their power-ups.
I would have put the Blasting Melon
As in Yoshi's Island, Yoshi would be able to spit pips after eating a watermelon!
QUESTION OF THE WEEK 3
How a game can become to you an instant classic? Has Super Mario Galaxy reached that status of instant classic game?
To answer the question, an instant classic for me is a game that redefines the rules of its genre. It brings brand new concepts and develops them with extreme precision and cleverness. If it is not a new IP, it has to keep the nostalgia of the previous iterations and bring freshness.
Super Mario Galaxy answers to all those criterias with brio. It brings lots of new concepts - power-ups, gravity, motion controls, star bits, launch stars - but keeps its nostalgia and classic gameplay that made Super Mario 64 a classic.
Super Mario Galaxy is a classic. Let's see if the second will reach that statue too.
charm, innovation and polish to the max, that's what defines an instant classic to me
and to me, Super Mario Galaxy was just that :D
An instant classic, to me, is defined by longing to play the game even when you're not. And to be sad it's over once you finish it, but come back to it and finish it again (and again). And to enjoy every minute of the game, even when you're not really accomplishing anything, but just messing around.

I loved doing that in New Super Mario Bros Wii, i loved that game so much.
this past week though i haven't had any time or energy to play anything (exams) but i really wish i could, i've had some major SSBB cravings lately + some hunger for MKWii too :p
the last game i played was like 15 minutes of ExciteBots on Saturday (disk just happened to be inside my Wii lol), now i can't wait to play that game too, i think i'm beginning to see a pattern regarding instant classics and a certain publisher ;)
i predict SMG2 will have the same effect, gonna have Finals around that time though :/

Poor you.
I'm having right now a hunger for Super Mario Galaxy. I played it today and entered the Good Egg Galaxy. I went at the top of the Black Tower and looked around with the camera just for the beauty of the images.
Sorry, I'm like that. It's the first game I stop playing just to look around and enjoy the beautiful landscape. That's so amazing. My heart races and the music gives me shimes.
Awesome feeling. Only Galaxy can do that. I hope I'll get the same feeling with the second opus.
