CONFIRMED GALAXIES

STARSHIP MARIO

Starship Mario is a planet used to travel across the universe. It is in the shape of Mario's head. It has, more or less, replaced the Comet Observatory from the first game, but is smaller and has changing backgrounds depending on the world.

SKY STATION GALAXY

Sky Station Galaxy is the first level featuring Yoshi. It begins in Yoshi's House, but he's not there. The boss of this level is Peewee Piranha.

SPIN-DIG GALAXY

Most of the planets seen in this galaxy are dirt. Mario can find and pick a drill item to bore the ground of these planets to come down the other side across them or also enter into underground areas. Digg-Legg is one of the bosses that would appear in the galaxy.

HIGHTAIL FALLS GALAXY

Not much is currently known about it, but from trailers (and the name) it appears that the bulk of the galaxy accommodates the use of the Dash Pepper, which allows Yoshi to scale walls and steep slopes. The background in the galaxy features high waterfalls and rocks.

PUZZLE PLANK GALAXY

Galaxy features wooden planks floating in a blue sky. Some sections are cutted by Grinders (saw found first in Super Mario World) that eventually remove parts that fall in the void. Features the returning Star Ball.

TALL TRUNK GALAXY

The level takes place in a peaceful forest with a huge tree. The tree has many branches which can be climbed to reach the top. The level will turn from 3D to 2D where Mario will need to travel through indents in the tree. Scuttlebugs are common enemies here. Many spiked enemies and electric enemies also patrol the area. This area is the first galaxy where the Blimp Berry is found, which allows Mario to reach higher places using Yoshi.

UPSIDE DIZZY GALAXY

The direction of gravity in this level can change depending on the direction of the arrows that are seen behind where Mario is.

BOWSER'S JR. FIERY FLOTILLA

Not much is known about this galaxy so far, but Mario is seen fighting a new boss in the game, Gobbleguts, in the galaxy. It is possible that Bowser Jr. summoned Gobblegut to defeat Mario, since Bowser Jr. owns the galaxy. Airships are also seen in the background supporting this theory.

SUPERMASSIVE GALAXY

Supermassive Galaxy depicts many common Mario enemies and elements at an extraordinary size. Some examples, as seen in the image, include Piranha Plants, coins and platforms. The concept can be compared to that of Giant Island from Super Mario Bros. 3, in which enemies, blocks, and other objects were also giant compared to Mario himself.

BOWSER'S JR. FEARSOME FLEET

Mario is seen fighting Metalloid, a new boss in the game operated by Bowser Jr. in a stage. Hammer Bros. can be found in the pre-boss area. Also, Yoshi can be found in this galaxy as well, considering that he is needed to defeat the mechanical giant. Nothing else is known about this galaxy so far.

FLIP-SWAP GALAXY

Performing a Spin Jump will make the blue and red platforms flip over and swap places. Apparently incoming Chomps will appear on the blue and red platforms, along with other enemies, like Bob-Ombs.

BOULDER BOWL GALAXY

The galaxy features the prominent use of the Rock Mushroom that turns Mario into a solid boulder. Some planets included in the galaxy are made of rocks and soil and steel platforms. Bowling pin-like enemies are found in the galaxy, which the plumber can bowl over by rolling into them in his boulder form. AND I DON'T NAME THE BOSS OF THIS GALAXY.

COSMIC COVE GALAXY

Very little is known about it. In the trailer, Mario is seen ground pounding a switch that changes water into ice, allowing him to skate on it. Mario will then need to ascend a frozen waterfall using wall jumps. Skeeters are known to appear here.

HAUNTY HALLS GALAXY

This is probably the first galaxy that includes the Glimmer Bulb Berry. In this galaxy, new enemies are found including Boos that resemble Electrogoombas, spiny looking creatures, and enemies that resemble Dry Bones. There is haunted mansion in this stage, as well as a passage which has dark matter and Big Boos, which is eaten by the Dry Bones-like creatures.

HONEYBLOOM GALAXY

Similar to the BEEHIVE GALAXY of the first one.

SPACE STATION GALAXY SKY STATION GALAXY

wow all i need 2 say

In answer to the question of the week, I think that the story line in mario games should be expanded more and they should continue the rosalia storyline and expand the character or go more into peach's background or daisies background. However these stroylines should be optional and the gameplay should remain the main focus. A more detail background story on the main characters of the series for those who want it would be a good idea imo.

I think it's in Puzzle Plank Galaxy since we saw Mario riding the same Star Ball.

E3 2015 Wishlist:

Ratchet & Clank (PS4)
Mass Effect 4 (MEH)
Age of Empires IV (PC)
Quantic Dream (PS4)
Mario 3D (Wii U)
Banjo-Kazooie (XOne)

i LOVE the names for the galaxies :D

they have such an innocent, almost childlike naming pattern to them, i really like that. it gives off such a happy vibe that i can't explain, unlike most games with their serious and sometimes depressing moods.

part of the reason why i just love playing mario games when i don't feel like playing anything else, they're always so joyful, puts me in a happy mood :)

The answer of the question is Rollodillo, and he is an armadillo.

Good job!
