**************SPOILERS**************

it's in some underwater cave on sunshine beach, sitting between two of those things that stick their heads out of the wall.

that help?

Ah thanks. I think I know what you're talking about. I even remember swimming through that but I must have missed the coin. Guess I was having too much fun on my shell.

After days of crawling along at a pace of 3 or 4 stars a day, i nailed 10 of them today. 8 of which were purple coins stars.

Only 7 to go! and most of them are in worlds 1 and 2. Yay!

Done the Stone Cyclone Galaxy yet?

My God, what a terror that place was

I haven't encountered the comet there, but it wasn't too bad in its original set. Simply a matter of knowing you had no time to stop and rest in the middle of things.

Cruelest i've encountered so far is the comet from Mario Squared, where they basically took the Luigi's Purple Coins star from Galaxy 1, but added Cosmic Clones and a timer, and forced you to destroy most of the route back to the star to retrieve them.

Believe it or not I got Luigi's Purple Coin Chaos after dying only twice - both times due to misplaced jumps. Stone Cyclone killed me about a dozen times. I am not good at hurrying, it seems.

The galaxy with all the long spinning platforms, though? Put that into its comet mode and it's a whole new vivid world of agony for me.

That one was easy and fun in its comet mode. Yoshi has greater traction than Luigi. The only difficulty of that was vastly reduced traction from Sunshine, so that you had much less space to stay on one side before you simply slid off. Yoshi could stay on much longer, so putting him in for the comet put it back to Sunshine mode, and simple.

That one killed me a few times, but i picked up so many lives in each attempt that i ended a good 10 lives ahead from where i started.

I died twice in Luigi's Purple Coins and 20 times in Stone Cyclone Galaxy.

In fact, World S is only a retake of previous galaxies from Galaxy 1.

The Galaxy Generator is far more epic than in the first one. The music is excellent and epic, too.

Today this appeared in my inbox.

lol

Stone cyclone galaxy was indeed crazy, I think I died the most on that stage, at least not counting the prankster comets. It get especially tough when trying to get the comet coin in that stage. I actually lucked out on the purple coins in Mario Squared, I managed to speed through it and beat it in just a few tries. I think the toughest time I've had overall was the purple coins in Clockworks. Couldn't tell ya how many lives I burned through on that one..
