I told my eight year old about Santa this morning.  She'd seen an episode of South Park and was questioning me about whether Santa was real, anyway.  Last night, I was wrapping presents with my GF.  I'd wrap and she'd label.  She'd write "To: Nya From:Santa" on the labels.  I had a revelation.  Fuck that!  I spent too damned much money and to much time getting these gifts for some imaginary guy to come along and take all of the credit!!! 

Kid still doesn't believe it was me.

i hope you tell her one day. my mum told me once that she'll go along with my idea of being named after Ash from The Evil Dead, "if thats what i want to believe". so yeah.

Just the fact that you know who Ash from the Evil Dead is, and are able to make that connection (while most girls with the same name would do that with Ashley Simpson or worse... Ashley Olson) gives you + 51 awesome points.

But when I think about the fact that you're actually saying this stuff while being a girl, it makes me suspect even more that you're really a 43 year old unnaturally hairry man in your underwear, and you're using pictures of some girl that is related to you.

I mean how else would you explain it?

well im pretty sure you've seen the youtube video i made teaching you VGCharterz how to speak Scottish, so I've more or less validated my female existence.

i frickin love that movie, Ash is my hero :D

@ OP

I agree with a lot of what you say but I do still celebrate Christmas. I'm Catholic BTW. I believe that the true meaning of Christmas makes it the greatest holiday that there is in theory. Unfotunately several greedy people can make it into a horrible thing. I am one of those "it's better to give than receive" people. I feel good all over watch young ones open their presents. :)
