Final Fantasy XIII was released for the Playstation 3 in Japan on December 17th.

According to Famitsu/Enterbrain, the game has sold 1,516,532 copies on its launch week (as of December 20th). Furthermore, Final Fantasy XIII helped boost hardware sales as 245,406 Playstation 3 systems were sold in Japan last week.

Final Fantasy XIII will be released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 9, 2010.

Very impressive sales. Does anyone have more conformation of this?

lol that means alot who wanted to buy FFXIII already owned a PS3.

Don't forget there was a huge boost in PS3 sales when FF13 demo came out with Advent Children also.

dont know y most thought it wasnt going to get past 200k
