Greenberg Confirms 360 Exclusives Line Up for the First Half of 2010

Talking on the latest Major Nelson Podcast Aaron Greenberg seems to confirm the xbox 360 exclusive line up for the first half of 2010.

Here's what he had to say :

" Starting in January we have like a AAA exclusive title pretty much every month for the first half of the year such as Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell:Conviction, Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 , we also know we have Halo:Reach and Fable 3 coming later that year "

Looks like Mr.Greenberg just confirmed Alan Wake and Crackdown 2 for the first half of the year. Good to know!

the definition of "AAA" is used pretty loose nowadays.

but, there are some attractive titles and will do well for Xbox.

need more info on some of the games there, it's severally lacking, especially for SC: C

Sweet. Definitely getting Mass Effect 2. Thinking about Splinter Cell Conviction and Alan Wake (although was not excited about it after E3 09). But still pretty good first half. Will keep me buying haha.

fable 3? hmmm nice

A small but focused lineup of exclusive quality content could help diffrentiate them from their closest competition. i.e Sony

There was a recent SC:C co-op video just released.  Looks awesome, but the framerate could be better.  I think that there have been a couple developer video/interviews recently released as well.  Could use some information about Crackdown though, especially if it's coming in the first half of 2010.

crackdown 2 in the first half, didn't expect that. And release some gameplay for Reach already, can't wait.

Are you implying that a reasonable percentage of those titles will miss out on 90%+ on Metacritic?

I agree we haven't had enough hands on with Alan Wake.  But other than that I'd think Reach, Mass Effect, and Splinter Cell are near certs.

The others will come damn close even if they don't quite get there.

Sweet.

I have Splinter Cell preordered...(along with bayonetta) but I think I may cancel shift that preorder towards Alan Wake if release date is announced. I want that game more than SC...from the recent videos I saw, SC:C looks like another "too serious to be fun" type of army game along the lines of MW2.

other than Reach and Mass effect, nothing is for sure.

Remember it's not easy to get AA status. I believe only aroun 5-6 games A YEAR achieve that status (across all platform, both exclusives and multi), it is a very exclusive club
