i have a question:

are the blue and red areas of the driving line fixed, or do they display your actual speed?

meaning, if you approach the turn faster, the red line will be longer as you have to break more then if you are slow?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I think so because sometimes when I'm breaking too early, the red line ends sooner and fades to blue.

you do NOT have to follow the line, it just there for you to know when to break and when to accelerate , sometimes it shows you have to break, but its not necessary.

and yes its not fixed, if you drive too fast the red line becomes longer and if you are driving too slow the red line disappears.

but bottom line you dont have to follow the line's rules, you have to know when to break and move on your own.

the driving line is merely a guide. you do not need to follow it to the letter. it actually adjusts depending on your speed against the recommended turn speed for each corner.

It's more that I don't want to brake.  The walls call to me, the grass seems so inviting...

lol :P i don't ever want to meet you on the track..

My problem isn't hitting walls and driving on grass and shit; my issue is I brake TOO much and i go slow. I drive like an 90 year old in a cadillac in GT.

meh, you forgot to talk about the suzuki cappucino, its so slow it defies everything in the game! i dont even need to brake.

and soon i shall beat everyone!
