I definitely don't know how to create a "good" thread title :P

what a stupid title. it is a cash in on an old game nothing to do with backwards compadibility.

This thread title makes absolutely no sense. I can understand a developer or publisher re-releasing a game with better graphics and features but saying backwards compatibility is way out of the term of remake.

I think that this is a tough spot. Personally I like having backwards compatability in the first year or so because of the lack of game that is inevitable with a new console release. However, if it means that the company has to eat 50 dollars a unit just to allow me to play games I already have a system to play, then I would rather they leave it out. Of course the first course of action I would like to see taken is software B/C, but if that is impossible, re-releases are ok.

One benefit to these rereleases is the enhanced resilution. A SD game on a 50in and bigger screen looks terrible.

Or you can buy a PS2, which will cost you less in the long-run (if they keep doing this).

So noone is impressed at how ICO or SotC might look in a HD re-release? Hmm...
