Ok first of all i cant understand how people STILL cant give Nintendo any credit what so ever with the Wii. Yea the Wii is doing well this generation but there ganna go the way of Atari. Then its ganna be only sony and MS left. This kind of shit is the very reason i HATE sony and MS. Its not so much them its there fans that make me sick. These are the same morons that said the Wii was Nintendos last system and there ganna be out of the hardware bussness next Gen.
OT: You our of your F'in mind. a, what $24 Eilte you say? Seeks some proffesional help.
I also love the way people still think MS is in the lead. Now im a Nintendo fan and i have no love for MS or Sony, although i do own and like the PS3. But. You cant just ignore the year head start MS had. As far as im concerend Sony has already taken a lead. But i will give MS a ton of credit for what they have done this Gen. Going from what the PS2, consoles sold and marketshare, had compared to the X-Box to where we are now the PS3 is defintly a huge dissapointment for Sony.

Not sure why youre so emotional about it. I actually sided with Ninny this gen long before any console was ever released mostly because of price points. I was discarded and everyone laughed at me but honestly it all made sense from the start. We knew there was a lot of demand for casual games due to the success of such games on the PS2 and on gameboy/ds. The Nintendo Wii focused on those customers and their controller design is supurb. On top of that the had a decent price point while the XB and PS both announced that they would sell for around $400-$500 and to me that was the nail in their coffin. Remember when the PS idiot said that people will want to work 2 jobs just to get a PS3? What arrogance that was.
So now the Wii won but do you really think this will happen again next gen? No one has said anything negative about the Wii at all, especially not myself but the conditions and dynamics of the sector have changed and we can sort of predict what might happen next with some accuracy. Do you really think that MS or Sony will make the same mistakes again next gen? I will bet you a whole dollar that they will both release their next console at around the $300 price point. Not only that, but MS has something called the Natal which absolutely blew me away and, being an engineer myself, I am not easy to impress but the potential of that technology is incredible and has so many applications. It almost like the 1st incarnation of the computer systems we saw in that lame movie Minority Report. I can see it going that way as it advanced.
So here is what Ninny might be facing next gen. Price point reductions from competition. A comprable and possibly supperior control scheme in the Natal. Small fanbase loyalty from casual gamers (again this isnt an insult but casual gamers really have no loyalties, they buy the stuff they like not the brand). Lastly, you can bet the house that both PS and MS will make tons of casual games themselves to compete.
I dont think that it is too far fetched to say that the XB will be dominant next gen. I actually hope that the PC makes a comeback but I know that it is not ready to compete just yet due to a few key problems including standardization. But honestly, I am not worried about Ninny at all. They are much better business people than Atari ever was so even if their market share shrinks, their business model will remain profitable and they will be around a very long time because of it. But things change and no one stays on top forever.
For the record, I love the PC above all consoles. If I had to cheer for a company it would be Ninny followed by MS. I worked for Sony so I despise them like the plague for various reasons but mostly for their arrogance, incompitence & ineptitude (I am refering to their management).
