Gunpei Yokoi only Produced the first two Metroid games. Yoshio Sakamoto is the true genius of the Metroid series and has been the 'brain' behind the series. Directing all the 2D games (except Metroid II) and overseeing every game (including the Prime games).

But Genpei Yokoi is still a genius.

agreed, overall great game!
it also has one of the best music : the sand area, and water area (for me)

i remembered when i played it the first time, thinkin about it in samus' shoes.. to be all alone like that in an alien planet
