Forums - Sony - Survey: Sony Considering Premium PSN Subscriptions

Just so you guys know, you're not choosing from that one table.

What they're doing is they're asking you numerous times which service you want to pay for and switching the prices and features of each of the 4 columns.

free access to ps1 classics? How is that possible for games that aren't made by Sony? Other companies aren't just gonna give out their games like that.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

It's not free if you are paying for the subscription.

What IllegalPaladin said, I just got done with the survey and they present you with multiple different scenarios comparing 4 options each time for a total of about 10 different scenarios, each asking which one you would choose and what type of payment you would make annual or monthly with the prices listed below, so no its not fake. Furthermore, how can people get mad about cross game voice chat being a premium feature when xboxlive has to pay for this as well with their gold membership? You guys are cheap sons of guns. Of the features the most interesting to me are obviously the aforementioned cross game voice chat which I would be willing to pay for, access to betas, Virtual cloud servers that store game saves that can be accessed through any ps3, Automatic updates so you can program your ps3 to automatically download game updates, demos and fw updates, 1 hour free trial of any game before you purchase it, sharing game demos of owned games with friends and much more. This sounds awesome and I am willing to pay for all of this with the right price. 50 bucks a year for all of this would be reasonable to me.

PROUD MEMBER OF THE  PLAYSTATION 3 : RPG FAN CLUB

And theyd be offering all of this content while still making online gaming free, everything we have now would continue to be free. This is optional.

I don't know if I care for the idea of some of those things being something you have to pay for.

And for paying for cross game chat. I like playing on PSN and on my PC because it's free. Sure, this survey is talking about optional features, but I'm not caring too much for the thought of charging for something like cross game voice chat.

Well, I mainly use PC online because the communication is literally 10x better....and because I prefer the games.

Buy I would LOVE cross game chat instead of having to use that stupid text chat thing in the XMB.

ok but what is sony gonna do?  Give each company money whenever someone plays their game?  You don't even know if the person has any intention to buy the game or not.  How would you even quantify that?

I'm not saying that I wouldn't want it, but I don't agree with making it a premium service.

.... I'll have to pay for X-Game Chat?

You're gonna piss off alot of people with that, SONY.
