I think for the Americas... end of January:

MW2 - X360 = 5.8 million
NSMBWii = 4 million

So no... I don't think it will manage that. Although I do believe by that time it will have passedthe 360 version using worldwide sales (or at least be very close) I reckon by the end of January it will be:
MW2 - X360 = 8.5 million
NSMBWii = 9 million

(for comparison I believe PS3 version will be ablout 6 million worldide by then... so NSMBWii will be 5.5 million behind the total console sales of MW2... it will probably be closing in on passing (if not already done so) the total MW2 sales by the end of 2010... probbaly about 16-17 million for MW2 by the end of 2010)

I think you are slightly underestimating how well New Super Mario Bros. Wii will sell these coming weeks. Just slightly.
