Past three weeks have been awesome for my favorite game of all time.
Week 1: 117,062 (black friday bundles though)
Week 2: 44,302
Week 3: 61,360
What's causing this sudden resurgence though? Prior to the black friday bundling, it was doing 18-20k per week. Now it looks like it'll hit 100k again next week. I hope it reaches 4 million (as I thought it would before).
GOTY Edition, plus a lot of national advertising. I've seen more LittleBigPlanet commercials recently than I've seen Nintendo commercials (DS/Wii combined).

Oh yeah.. the GOTY edition.. that explains the rise of Fallout 3 as well. Apologies, I overlooked it.. I love the game very much and I'm ecstatic about the increase :)

Yeah, i can agree. I've seen it everywhere. Also i started to play it again.
GOTY edition and word of mouth, probably. Well deserved too.

this is a game which i expect to see rises like this every holiday season of the ps3's lifetime cuz it's the best game to market during this time of year.
This game will hit 4 million LTD, just like Uncharted 2, whilst MGS4 pushes onward for the 5 million mark.
Truly excellent software sales on the Playstation 3!
Plus i think American govt. also wanting to use it in some way for competition i think? i think it should also give some boast to it..
