Forums - Sony - After the God Of War Collection do u think that a metal gear collection is.

I am a hd freak I absolutly think that a Metal Gear Solid collection is great idea.  I understand that the God Of War series was only on ps2 so that makes it easier to do than Metal Gear being across two platforms but if nothing else a collection with 2 and 3.  They don't need to be redone like a whole system make over but at least like gow in 720p and 60fps would be awesome.  I wouldn't expect a whole lot done with mgs1 but I wouldn't mind the game cube remake with the same done a little different story but at least it would fit good and they could just put mgs 1 in the origonal format.  Whatever the case may be do you guys think it would be worth it, would you buy it, do you think it would have the appeal that gow had or am I way off in left field when i mention this?

Please discuss let me know mabey we can even get a petition going and send it to kojima and he will do it who knows.

Dood, there's already a MGS collection, there would be no point to re-releasing a collection on a single bluray. Besides, I don't think that they'd be able to do much in terms of graphics. Part 1 would still look like a ps1 game, and parts 2 and 3 look amazing .

I understand that there is a collection already out but what im saying a hd version like gow. Gow looks so much better would that not be awesome if the same was done to the mgs series

I dont see the point. It was already done on GC for MGS, and we already have MGS4 which still has some of the best graphics and gameplay ever.

GOW collection did well and made sense sense we dont have GoW3 and we already have MGS4.

You do have a point it probably should have been done earlier.  Do you have the gow collection?

i wouldnt buy them ass i have them all already and can play them on my ps3
but i can see no reason why this is a bad idea.
the more people that are able to play and appreciate a mastery piece trilogy is ok by me!

i would buy it!!! but id want mgs:twin snakes (enhance port of gc version), mgs2, and mgs3 all in at least 720p and I'd throw down $60

I hope Konami does it, the god of war collection is selling pretty well, and im sure it was really cheap and quick to do (couple months if im not mistaken). it would be easy money and good promotion for metal gear rising (which is really the direct sequel to the events of mgs2 - raiden goes after the patriots for olgas baby, snake goes after liquid);

if i were konami, id be looking to have it ready for next holiday, maybe include a demo of metal gear rising; maybe konami realizes it needs to increase the metal gear fanbase. not an easy to do, considering the series strength was its intricate storytelling and plot. what better way than a pseudo HD remake of a series for cheap production costs

Oh boy do i ever. I platted them both in one weekend. Dont get me wrong i would totally buy it if it were done I do like the concept though, its a great way to reintroduce franchises. I just wonder how much of an overhaul a PS1 game would take though and im not sure they could justify doing it for PS1 games, with PS2 games they can easily up the crispness and  resolution since PS2 games arent as dated.

Now give me Ico and SOTC collection and ill likely spend $100 bucks on it, haha.
