The game did well enough to get the Greatest Hits treatment back in 2000. Also a strong base of Sony loyalists have been asking for either a sequel or a remake for quite some time. Im definitely on board.  Loved the game and want another one (or hell a remake).  Its rather odd with how well jrpgs do that Sony did not follow this up.  1.86m sales based on Vgchartz and this being a first party rpg, just seems logical to try and keep it going. 

 

my top 5 would be:

1. Chrono Cross

2. Parasite Eve

3. Xenogears

4. Legend of Dragoon

5. All FF (9>7>8)

Ssenkahdavic, I'm surprised Suikoden wasn't in your top 5 list, considering your signature.

Anyways Suikoden (Well Suikoden II also) are my most sought after remakes as they are my favorite two games.

If they remade Suikoden 1/2 there is no way it could ever come close to the greatness it already holds.  Id love to have it, but Id hate it at the same time.  Make any sense?  Suikoden 3 is my favorite :) followed by 2-1-5-4 which are all awesome.

I like the look of Final Fantasy VII the way it came out, it looks unique and I don't think a remake will change my feelings of it for the better. As for VIII and IX, think they would look better in HD, especially IX because it had a lot of art behind it.

I forgot about the MGS remake on the GC ~~

Silent Hill, yeah that might be a remake, but I want to see Team Silent getting back together and re-doing it themselves, along with Yamaoka, but that's impossible now ;_;

i know mgs and RE were remade but do it again wit HD and on a sony console where they belong

For me its 5-3-2-1-4, im sure we can definitly agree that 4 is by far not in the same rank. Actually 5-3-2-1--------------- 4 lol.

Also i'm with s0n1x in this issue, the new PE is looking more of a TPS rather than a RPG, I really hope that they don't take away all that made PE great by doing this :(

So was PE2.....that's why i don't want a PE REMAKE

they will make it like the others in hope for more sales
