Monster Hunter focuses less on dungeon puzzles and more directly on the action. It's selling like hotcakes in Japan. Super Guide isn't the answer to tedious puzzles. They should be reduced or dropped period.

Mario used the SG for parts of the game people still wanted to play, not parts that radically change it.

 

This and so much more. It's like you were reading my mind. I'll go one step further and say just make a 3D Four Swords and call it a day. Puzzles have got to go.
