I guess it has to do with the vitality sensor and it's a combination of zen+wii=zii

You have to pronounce it with a (bad) french accent: it will be "THE" console of the future... maybe...  :)

Now, if you say "Ze Zii", it means dick in french (zizi), so... who knows, it may be successful amongst the "hardcores", as they're acting like dicks in the last four years, lol...

But seriously, it can be anything, there are a lot of trademarks never used, and this may be no exception... we'll see...

don't you mean "we'll zii"?

Yes, this is almost completely true. Canadians call Z either Zee or Zed depending on area.

I work for an International company and it has been very odd trying to get used to calling Zee Zed instead.

^^This whole 2nd page of this thread is waste. Because now we should be discussing what Mr. Khan posted on pg.1 the last post on pg.1....

They trademarked Bii, Cii, Yii and Oii too. protecting knock-off names like vii....

odd story but i actually saw this teenager who asked this store representative where the "wii" was but the store representative shows him "vii" and at first he is like this is not it but later after see the vii-mote he agrees to buy so i go upto him and tell him thats a knock off of the real wii which is made by Nintendo. I show him where the Wii is and he is like, yeah this is the one i was looking for.

Yes.  I always used to frustrate my son by correcting him everytime he talked about DragonBall Zee.  'It's Zed'  'No dad it's Zee'  'Not in this country.'
