I haven't played a Harvest Moon game since A Wonderful Life on the GameCube. Really enjoyed that but want to pick up one of the newer games as well. Though I did play Rune Factory on the DS but didn't really like the fighting aspect to much though it could be just the whole DS experience I wasn't feeling. I've always liked Harvest Moon on the console more then the hand held versions. Wasn't bad just didn't grab me the way I thought it would. I always liked coming home from school and relaxing a bit with the game and now it would be coming home from work and relaxing with the game.

It seems like Harvst Moon: Animal Parade is the latest Wii version of the game (please correct me if I'm wrong). Is it good to pick up or should I look at Tree of Tranquility or perhaps Rune Factory Frontier (might like it better on the console as things would be expanded more)?

I would stick to RF:Frontier if you are looking for something new, Tree of Tranquility is pretty good too, cant say the same thing about Animal Parade, graphically speaking it doesnt feel good the music is ok, and the overall experience is... well Harvest Moon doesnt change mucho
