johnsobas said: there is a difference between flopped and died at retail. Flopped means people actually had expectations for the game. Punchout, Murasama and Little King's Story have no business being on that list. Madworld, and Conduit are arguable. Deadly Creatures and Dead Space really did flop. |
There is a difference. However, while the company which made Muramasa didn't expect it to sell well and therefore its American sales are a plus (therefore not a flop), the company that made Little Kings Story was hoping it would become a new strong IP like Pikmin to utilize the Wiis unique appeal. In all ways, its low sales didn't meet any expectations.
But even if the companies did or didn't meet their expected sales for each game, the sales for both Muramasa and Little Kings Story are WAY lower than they should be for good and original games on the Wii. And it can all be traced back to a lack of marketing by the localization companies and deflated interest in Wii software in the last half of 2009.
