Looooool, OHKO! xD

I don't know how people say that the graphics look meh after watching video after video of FFXIII :P Give me an enemy that has the same scale and looks with so much detail as that huge enemy ;)

FFXIII will be epic :D

I know it's a rhetorical question, but two enemies would be the Leviathan and Goliath from Resistance 2, they're big ass mother fuckers, and look gorgeous, haha.

I'm still on the fence with FFXIII, I don't like where it's going, or the new battlesystem, or even the whole rankign system, and the fact that you can restart a battle at any time seems really cheap, you don't have to think as much now, cause if you do something wrong, you can just pause and restart, seems tacky to me...

I'm also not liking ANY of the Summons, except for Alexander since he looks amazing as always, and I haven't seen anything of Ifrit (Well, after Sazh summon was said to be Brynhildr and not Ifrit...), where's he now ?!

@jbrist

Well as I have Resistance 2 and having played it and ending it three times in a row, I can pretty much say that their level of detail doesn't come as close as the level of detail that Adamantamai of FFXIII has ;)

Hell, even some Colossi of SOTC were more detailed than those two enemies in Resistance 2 :)

Well, about the summons, Ifrit, Siren and Carbuncle still appear in the images of the official FFXIII JP site, so they are in the game ;)

You restart battle if you lose not whenever you want. And no, it's not tacky and you'd know this if you've played games with the same system (like I have, and it works well and means battles can be harder).

That was necessary imo

I don't know WHY anyone would like to see "game Over" after a battle, have to restart the game, load it up again & watch the cut scene before the boss battle AGAIN

how is being able to restart if you die in a battle BAD.....arghh thats beyond me!!

@Darth

I think it all comes to points of view. Quite frankly if we are given the option, I rather not restart and do it the old fashioned way, I like it better than that :)

But yeah, it's not bad since it will allow more people who are not as RPG savvy as the rest of us to get the hang of the game and progress through it ;)

It's because of personal preference :) One of the things that I liked the most of FFXII was if you screwed up on the really hard battles (Zodiark and Omega) you would have to go through the hellish parts filled with really tough enemies. It added to the sense of urgency of the battles themselves, so you would always feel the pressure to beat them on your first go, pushing you to the limit :)

Yeah, Soriku I don't get what you mean, it's as if you're trying to attack me for giving an opinion...

Basically, I'm with lestatdark, I mean, FFX is my favourite (FFIX coming in a VERY VERY close second), and yes, it has a save system (Obviously), but if you die ina battle, you have to restart from that savepoint, I love that way, it's nice and traditional, I mean, this that you're explaining seems to me like;

"Oh, you died in battle, oh well no worries, I'l just start you back at the beginning of the fight, have another try!"

Over and over... I prefer games where once you die you have to go through a section again to get back to where you were...

If you think my opinion is weird, I suggest you stay away from Demon's Souls, cause that doesn't pick you up and let you start at that enemy again, oh no, you're fucked lol.

Capiché ?

You guys YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO DO THAT

you can always say "no" when it says do you want to restart the battle

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Restarting Battles >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Starting At the Save Point If You Loss A Battle

It's MUCH less stressful this way. I'm happy they added that option.

Well, i'm glad that they're giving both options so that all gamers and FF lovers can be happy with each :)
