Forums - General - I'm 22 and I've never had a job. >_>;

22 and not had a job is quite rare. You must be really lazy, sponged off your family and friends. You have to really lift your game now. Make up a resume with fake work experience and use family and friends as references. Do not expect a high paying job. Labouring and factory jobs will be the easiest jobs for you to obtain.

Weird, I've tried job searching over the summer and there was never any applications that asked for my GPA..., uh, guess you're talking about jobs that require degrees...?

Typically, if you go to college you actually try to go for jobs that require more than being able to say would you like fries with that, otherwise known as jobs that require degrees.

Oh, and here's a tip: not many places will tell you to specifically list your GPA. If you don't list it, it's just assumed you don't have a good GPA.

Go to a resume workshop.

I think the attitude you've shown him thus far has eliminated any chance of him taking your advice. That's just how it works. Like, if your boss said "You're a worthless piece of shit and I'd fire you right now if you weren't useful for cleaning floors" and the next day said "Oh hey Westerman, will you go get me some coffee from Starbucks?" would you do it? Probably not. Or at least spitefully as not to take in the experience.

But really, resume workshops are helpful, Phoenix.

Wait, I'm his boss? SWEET!

Phoenix.  Coffee.  Now!

At this point, you're really just being rude.

Out of curiosity, why do you reply to my topics if you find me to be some annoying attention seeker? Wouldn't you... you know, not want to give me attention if you really thought that? Isn't what you're doing now counter-productive? >_>;

Hypothetical situation. Hit the books to find out what that is

Thread title caught my attention, some posts out of boredom, others from procrastinating.

And yes, I'm rude, and no, you still haven't actually given any further information even though myself and others have asked for it.  Again, it's hard to help when you give no information (which I'm pretty sure you did in another thread).

part of me think you are making this up, but if this is serious, go hug your parents for allowing to stay in the house.

On one side, we have the realist twesterm acting like the father that would have kicked PhoenixKing out at 18. On the other side, we have optimist tedsteriscool acting like the mother who tells his son "do you best" despite being a 22 year old with no work experience.

This is quite funny. I also feel like a loser. 20, dependent of my father, currently not in school, never had a job.

Pixel Art can be fun.

In complete honesty, this guy's got a heck of a lot of catching up to do. I'd suggest checking out your school's employment center (I'm sure they have one). Then check out monster.com and make a resume. It shows you how to do it too. Don't procrastinate anymore though, the old saying is very true, time is money.

@ Twesterm, I know you're just being honest, but there's a fine line. Being condescending and judgemental towards someone else is counterproductive.
