Nope. If GTA Gran Turismo or a MArio game were to do just that they would be looked on as failures.

I think Reach will meet Halo 3 is sales, if not exceed it...I think it's going to be the final big Halo game on the 360, and M$ is probably going to get more meaty DLC for the game, to extend it's lifespan.
It should sell at least Halo 3 levels and probably plus 10% or so. I figured ODST might actually blunt demand, but I think the lure of new engine, etc. plus 'apparently' the final Bungie Halo will draw in the faithful.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Like 5-7 million. I guarantee if they changed the title from the stupid "Halo Reach" to "Halo 4" it would double the sales.
Reach sounds like a piece of shit spinoff. Halo 4 sounds like an awesome sequel!
I just hate how they're calling it Halo Reach, I don't know why.
It will sell more than Halo 3.

What's so funny is in a year, when Halo Rreach handily tops everything, the VERY SAME people projecting it to do worst will change their tune, and say..."Well, it's a Halo FPS, so of course it sold alot, it's not a big deal."
I think my first thought was pretty bad. It will probably be more like 8-10 million. I just don't think it'll outsell Halo 3. It would if it was called Halo 4 though.

Because its a prequel hence not making it Halo 4 and it takes place on the planet Reach. Once MS start their massive advertisement campaign and Bungie releases more footage of the game no one will question the name. Although I doubt its as big a deal for the average consumer as you make it out to be.

yeah your probably right, and I'm thinking I was way off, probably more like 8-10 million. I still don't think it will outsell Halo 3 though and I guess based on what you said they can't call it Halo 4.

Note my Halo 3 plus 10% then so you don't include me in that list...
