Forums - Gaming - Harvest Moon LOVE!!!!

Well I only really liked HM64 and FOMT. The others weren't that interesting to me especially AWL. Magical melidies was alright though. I didn't even try the one for Wii.

I really like rune factory too. I have the first one and the one for Wii. Will get part 3 when it comes to the US.

The only ones I've really played properly are the good ol' SNES one and A Wonderful Life. I think both are fantastic. I'd really like one that's a lot bigger, though.

harvest moon on the 64 was the best. i think i would have enjoyed rune factory on the wii even more than it, if it wasnt for those runeys which ruined the game.

I agree completely.

Many people probably wouldn't understand why HM64 was considered the best Harvest Moon.  It is because it combined farming, story, events and dialogue seamlessly.  Future Harvest Moons would improve on one aspect, and neglect another.  Plus, it was one of the last Harvest Moons to have alcohol in it.  I remember Karen getting blitzed at the new years party and how funny that was.

FOMT was the closest to HM64, but still didn't match it.  I really liked how people actually walked from one area to another, something than Magical Melody lacked.  Rune Factory was cool, but they spread the gameplay over too many aspects.  I really like the setting.

Oh, and the PS1 Harvest Moon almost matches the HM64 version, since they were made identical.  Long loading times and glitches prevented it tying #1.

I have Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland and A Wonderful Life. I LOVE them both

If Harvest Moon/Rune Factory were actually advertised a little, I figure they could attract the same audience that is currently obsessed with FARMVILLE on Facebook.
