I do find this to with Gamespot (EB Games here in Canada) carrying more of the 'core' titles like Cursed Mountain and Walmart and such with more casual titles (Medieval Games) although quite a bit of overlap still.
That must hurt developers though if you can only get into certain channels and not others. Must hurt sales. The Wii shelves are incredibly overstuffed everwhere.
