i had to partition my external HD to FAT32 or something, and it only partitions 32GB -.-

I bought a PS3 at launch myself, what I have done and which I sincerely believe will prolong its life is open it up and clean out the heatsink and fan with compressed air. There was quite a bit of dust that had built up for me and the machine is noticeably more silent again once I opened and cleaned it. A good tutorial for how to disassemble the PS3 here:
http://www.llamma.com/PS3/repair/PS3_disassembly_tutorial.htm

Also I suggest stopping the disassembly once you can get to the heatsink and fan unless you feel comfortable applying new thermal paste.

Try the old vacuum trick, I noticed that helped my PS3.

Some first gen PS3s probably had bad thermal paste (mine did). After ~1 1/2 years it began to froze very often (like all 30-60minutes), so I exchanged the paste and after that it was like new again, even the fan kicks in way later than before.

OK def going to disassembly it, vacuum and see if that helps. The thermal paste thing seems too difficult

You don't need to disassemble it

Watch this vid

it isn't really that difficult - you just need some cleaning alcohol to clean the processors and a high quality thermal paste (for example the Arctic Cooling MX-2 or MX-3 ) for ~$10

gilksys ylod youtube guide can show you how to do it, but because you don't have a ylod you don't need to (or better _shouldn't_) heat/reflow the chips, so there are less steps to follow

Games freeze sometimes, don't worry about it.

Fallout 3 freezes a lot yet i'm not very worried about my systems health.
