I loved FFX and was totally enthralled by it when I played it/beat it during Spring Break back in grade 10.

thing is pretty intentional , as they wanted it to sound forced and not REALLY laughing.

i think the voice acting is topnotch , but FFXII's voices are better. but thats because the setting is midevil-ish

I quite liked the game tbh, Even blitzball.

Everyone, who use Zanmato to kill superbosses, basically cheating. Really, move, that kill everything in one hit with 100% succes? Prety cheap. You "only" need money and money aren´t problem in this game.

So, try beat everything without Zanmato, it´s much more satisfiying. Or, don´t mention, that you used Zan, someone could laugh at you.

Btw: Penance isn´t THAT hard, if you have good strategy and perfect characters. Try Demi-fiend from DDS1, or Satan from DDS2...

but i know its cheating, im also talking about my second playthrough, my other playthroughs were 100% playthroughs , FFX is the most FF i played for some reason.

Uh, somewhat, I missed this sentence. You right, if you take FF only, then Penance is probably hardest.

there is also this boss on FFXI its pretty Harder but thats an MMO so it wouldn't count

his name is Absolute Virtue. the only time he was beaten was by glitching, hes just one of those ridiciously impossible MMO boss that is there just to make you his bitch.

Actually in FF history, no boss has been as hard as Omega Weapon in FFV. Seriously, look it up, he could kill your party in one hit from the get go of the fight and you would only do about 200 HP damage, even with a maxed warrior with Excalibur.

Penance was actually easy to kill without even using the Zanmato Trick.

You just need to have your party at over 60K HP to avoid being slaughtered by his most powerful attakcs, 255 Defense, 255 Attack, 255 spirit and 255 agility.

Have accesories with Ribbon, Auto-Life, Auto-Haste and Break HP Barrier in the slots, and make sure that Auto-Life stays on during the fight.

Keep using Quick Hit during the entire fight, set up your Overdrives to Warrior so it builds up with the damage that you cause, go for the arms and then keep pummeling on Penance.

With this setup, I managed to kill him in 15 minutes, with no member of my team dying and Penance itself only getting 4/5 attack chances during the whole fight (As Quick Hit works by doubling your Agility stat for the next Turn Slot of your character, so with 255+Haste+Quick Hit, every new Turn Slot would have an effective 1020 Agility to it).

wow, hating on a game 8 years late. That's pretty low. I should go play a game from 10 years ago and hate on it too.

it's been 8 years damn, SqaureEnix really makes qaulity RPGs. Final Fantasy is truly a timeless series.
